The Poultry Association of Nigeria has presented what it called economic and health implications of smuggled poultry products in the country.
Poultry Association Highlights Dangers of Imported Poultry Products
President of the Association, Dr. Ayoola Oduntun, said that smuggled and imported poultry products pose grave danger to the health of Nigerians.
The Association said scientists from the University of Ibadan and the University of Lagos discovered the dangers and warned Nigerians to desist from consuming unwholesome poultry products.
He said the sheer volume of the imported products is enough to heighten public health concerns for consumers across the country.
