The Process of Making Moringa Capsules

It is quite easy to produce capsules from the moringa plant. In fact, it is easy enough to make at home.

  • Gather leaves from the moringa plant. You will generally require only a handful for making enough capsules. Do not remove the stalks
  • Clean the leaves with water to remove any dirt or other impurities.
  • While cleaning, examine the leaves to locate old and yellow leaves and any impurities. Remove them immediately.
  • Hang the leaves by their stalks in a cool and dry area. You can cover them with a thin cloth to prevent dust from settling on the leaves. Let them dry for a few days.
  • Determine if the moringa leaves are dry enough. If they are dry, the leaves will curl up and can be crushed with very little effort.

  • Roast the leaves over a low fire for a minute or two. Keep stirring them while they are being roasted. Roasting will sanitize the leaves while reducing the moisture content further. It is easier to powder roasted leaves as well.
